Area: 553 square miles from O'ahu
Geography: Twin peaks of a single volcano formed this land, the oldest of the six major Hawaiian Islands. Kaua'i is home to the Waimea Canyon and the awesome Napili Coast. The Alaka'I swamp extends almost 10 miles northwest of the summit peaks
of Kawaikini and Wai'ale'ale and is the world's highest swamp, located at an elevation of more than 3,000 feet above sea level.
